painting fun with packing peanuts

We've made packing peanut mush and experimented with packing peanuts in the outdoor kitchen.  And now, inspired by Teacher Tom, we have added painting with packing peanuts to our packing peanut repertoire.

We popped out water paint, a basket of packing peanuts and some sheets of cardboard and stood back to see what the children would do with the materials.

Some discovered that the paint acted as a glue that would stick the packing peanuts to the paper.  Others enjoyed squishing them down and watching them melt and dissolve into squishy blobs of colour.

What materials have you been painting with recently?
