A big welcome to this week's It's Playtime - and an even bigger thank you to all of you who submitted your inspiring play ideas last week.
First visit to It's Playtime? You will find full instructions on how to play with us here.
Masking tape: one of the staples of the preschool classroom. Seriously, there should be a whole unit taught on it at university! Children love to experiment with tape, and to explore different creative and imaginative ways to use it in their play both indoors and out.
Just have a look at the tape play city from Imagination Soup:
And look what happened when Kierna from the wonderful Learning For Life placed rolls of tape outdoors to see what the children did with them:
(Can I just say that I have severe teepee envy after looking at Kierna's images).
The allure of masking tape and it's potential for play have been the subject of previous posts on Let the Children Play:

As you can see, we go through a lot of tape! What about you? Do you have any masking tape stories or images to share?
