I've just been looking at these beautiful images of Norwegian children building huts from my friend Frode Svane.
Inspired, I thought I'd share some of my images of our children building bush shelters or cubbies.
Walking through the bush with our preschoolers, we often stumble across shelters like this one. The primary school kids call them their "bases".
The preschoolers like to lend a helping hand and add a stick here and there.
We've built bush shelters in the playground:
Discovered bush shelters under trees in the primary school:
I like this idea of building a shelter in the sand pit that I saw at The Point Preschool in Sydney:
This one looks ready to move right on in:
A loose collection of sticks leaning against a tree:
Or a fence:
Smaller shelters for cars and trucks:
Or for bush creatures:
I'd love to see images of your children's shelters, dens or huts?
