it's playtime at let the children play

As you know, Let the Children Play celebrates play in children's lives and learning.  Open-ended, active, hands-on, child-led, process-orientated, outdoor, messy, sensory, creative, imaginative,  paint-in-your-hair and grass stains on your jeans play.

Lots of you feel exactly the same way.  And as I recently learnt here and here, lots of you are blogging about it too!  There is a wealth of playful inspiration out there, just waiting to be shared.

It's Playtime

It's Playtime is a place for all you play loving bloggers to share the play love.  Join this new weekly play link-up to share your own posts on play and find inspiration from other play enthusiasts around the globe.
I am delighted to have been invited to host It's Playtime alongside these four inspirational playful bloggers:

In just three weeks since starting, Anna, Rachel, Jamie and Rachele have created a buzzing community with almost 100 submissions to the latest It's Playtime link-up.

How to Play
  • Write a post about a playful learning experience you have enjoyed with the little people in your life.  It could be from home, it could be from preschool - if it embraces play-based learning then you are on the right track!
  • Grab the It's Playtime button below and pop it into your post, or in the sidebar of your blog.
  • Every Thursday head on over here or to any of the wonderful hosts above and add your link to the list.  Your link will show up on each of the blogs in our It's Playtime community.
  • Each week each host will choose their favorite post from the link up, and feature it in the next It's Playtime post.
  • By linking you are giving us permission to use your images and link to you if featured.
  • Remember to take a moment to browse through the list and visit some of the links that catch your eye.  Commenting on posts that you find interesting or inspiring is a wonderful way to develop your own playful community.

  1. Fantastic! I've linked. I;m excited.

I can't get the button-thingy to work - but that could be because I don't have a clue about these things?

  2. Hi Leigh - excited to have you join in as well :) Let me check the button thingy and get back to you. I'm as clue-less as you - or probably even more so!

  3. Jenny,
What a pleasant surprise this is. I had prepared not one but two posts on playful learning to go for today and tomorrow even before I knew you were hosting this event.
So excited to link here. I have linked back to this page on my blog!

  4. What a lovely idea. I'm sure this link up will be a massive success. All the best to you all.

  5. I feel so crazy, I haven't seen your blog yet! I linked up on a different site, but I'm excited to follow your site as well as the other gals!
