walking in the rain

If the kids in Norway can go outside whatever the weather, then our kids aren't going to let a little bit of warm November rain stop them from going on their bushwalk.

It's fun to go outside, whatever the weather.

  1. This is such a simple idea, but it's true! Sometimes, kids need to experience the rain and all types of weather; not just when it's the perfect day.

  2. Oh boy we've had fun in the rain ... or should I say the floods this week too Jenny. No gorgeous bush walks I'm afraid but water like we've never seen before at kinder. Water inside, outside and upside down side! As you can imagine the children have been having an absolute ball in it ... the parents not so much but for the children woohoo!

  3. We live in what was once a rain forest, so we get way more than our share of rain. I've been waiting by the door as children come outside for nearly a decade now. In all that time, I've only once heard a child complain about the rain. Far more common are kids complaining, "It's too bright!" or "It's too hot!"

I'm trying to popularize the expression: "Rain makes everything more fun!" It looks like your kids might be the perfect candidates for helping me spread the word!

  4. I like that Tom "Rain makes everything more fun". I've noticed for kids it certainly adds a different element to their play and a different dimension to their discoveries.

  5. I love the way the colours of the Australian bush come to life in the rain...
